an air stripper

The ABCs of PRM

A is for Air Stripper

Air strippers are an effective technology used in water treatment processes to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other gases from contaminated water. The water stream flows over a distribution weir and along the horizontal trays. Forced air is blown through holes in the trays and forms a froth of bubbles generating a large mass transfer surface area where the contaminants are volatilized. The clean water exits the stripper and the off-gas vapors are treated as required. This makes air strippers particularly valuable for cleaning up groundwater at industrial sites or ensuring safe drinking water supplies. Their efficiency and relatively low operational costs make them a popular choice for environmental remediation projects and municipal water treatment facilities.

PRM offers a range of air strippers for purchase or rent to meet any project needs.  Additionally, air strippers can be custom built to a customer’s specifications.

PRM is proud to offer the most advanced modeling system software available today, giving designers, engineers, and end users the best solutions for today’s treatment needs.
