Product Recovery Management, Inc. (PRM) was founded in 1990 by Robert M. Phillips, Jr. (Mel) and Brian J. Phillips. Originally a subsidiary of Phillips Electric Co. of Durham, Inc., PRM was incorporated following its acquisition by the Phillips brothers. With origins as an electrical contracting business established in 1976, PRM has evolved into a reputable environmental remediation and landfill gas company, drawing on over 40 years of industry experience.
What We Do
As a premier environmental remediation company, we offer services to aid clients in a variety of projects worldwide. From air strippers to flare systems to oil water separators, PRM has the experience and the capabilities to tackle any project. With this diversity of offerings in mind, we will be highlighting a different area of expertise each week in a series we are calling “The ABCs of PRM.”
History
Phillips Electric Company of Durham, Inc. began as a local electrical contracting firm specializing in residential and commercial wiring. In the late 1980s, PEC expanded its services to include wiring for service stations and addressing underground storage tank issues for a local petroleum marketer. PRM emerged as a subsidiary of PEC following a successful response to a significant gasoline spill near Hillsborough, NC. Since then, PRM has expanded its services from North Carolina to a nationwide level and has shipped remediation and landfill gas systems globally.
PRM is among the few Equipment Integrators in the nation with Third Party Certification to manufacture Treatment Systems and Equipment to UL and NFPA standards. Additionally, PRM holds various other certifications, including ASME Section VIII, National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, NSF, and more.
